Olympia's Clown Alley, the Red Nose Brigade

Olympia's Clown Alley, the Red Nose Brigade is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art of clowning through volunteer work and education. We currently have opportunities to apprentice with a clown and learn the deadly (funny) art of clown-fu. We will participate in approximately eleventy-twelve events this year including the Parades, Cotillions, Festivals, and Graduation Exercises.

Sprout's Update

Hello Everyone... it is that time again...SUMMER TIME FUN! Here is the information that I have as of right now. As you can see we have several parades coming up.. What I need from you is a bio for the alley. Please send me your input on what you would like to see in our alley and I will whip something up, and send it out for your approval. I would like to have this done by Friday, that way I can attach it to the parade applications. You can email me at jenniu@biaw.com or funnygal76@hotmail.com. If you have any questions, please call me. 360-507-3394 Lacey Spring Fun Fair... St. Martin's University, Lacey (contact me if you need directions to the event) Saturday, May 20, 2006 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Walk Arounds, Please come at anytime. Sunday, May 21, 2006 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Walk Arounds, Please come at anytime. Lacey Spring Fun Fair PARADE... St. Martin's University, Lacey "Hilarious Hats and Homegrown Music" Saturday, May 20, 2006 10:30 AM Check in 11:00 AM Parade Starts (From my understanding we will be able to file in anywhere along the parade line) Oakville Parade "Our Founding Fathers" Saturday, July 1, 2006 9:00 AM Line Up 10:00 AM Judging 11:00 AM Parade Start Tumwater 4th of July Parade: GRAND MARSHALS OF THE PARADE! "All for Fun, Fun for All" Tuesday, July 4, 2006 8:30 AM Line Up 9:30 AM Judging 11:00 AM Parade Starts We will meet at the Tumwater City Hall.. (time has yet to be determined) At City Hall we will meet the parade coordinator who will thank us for being there and they will have food and drinks there for us too. Yummy! What I need to know: I need to know exactly...How many people plan on attending? How many people will NEED a ride during the parade? They would like us to walk the parade, however if we have some members who can not make it through the whole parade they will do their best to find us transportation. (and yes..I did suggest the Fire Truck) Please let me know ASAP! Lakefair Parade... "Celebrate Community Spirit" Saturday, July 21, 2006 3:45 PM Before Parade Entertainment 5:00 PM Parade Start *****They would like us to entertain the crowd before the pre-parade, which starts at 4:20 PM. I would recommend that those who are participating entertain the crowd in front of the Capital building at 3:45 AM. This area always has a huge crowd (who is "under control"), away from the actual line up of the parade and alot more room where you will not feel cramped when performing. Please perform with walk arounds. They have also invited RNB to jump back into the parade route for the actual parade. (Please let me know if you all want to do this, that way I can fill out the parade application.) Hope to hear from you all soon... Sprout!
