Olympia's Clown Alley, the Red Nose Brigade

Olympia's Clown Alley, the Red Nose Brigade is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art of clowning through volunteer work and education. We currently have opportunities to apprentice with a clown and learn the deadly (funny) art of clown-fu. We will participate in approximately eleventy-twelve events this year including the Parades, Cotillions, Festivals, and Graduation Exercises.

Archiving RNB Treasures

My first instinct on seeing the collected RNB newsletters in the library was to immediately begin studying the lot of them. And there are a lot of them! So I had to sort them and put them in little plastic sleeves in a binder. Six months go by. I realize the value of this legacy merited more than the ordinary archive. It truly deserves to be shared by a wide-eyed clown-loving world of wide-eyed clowns. Here's my predict-a-mint: It's too big a job for one widdle cwown! My dream is that the original authors and editors have their ORIGINAL (unique and first) computer files, so I don't have to retype them. Here's my compromise for the present: I take you on a journey through time... as we browse the headlines of each month... going back to March 1995: "Rosebud" congratulates the 1st of Mays after the RNB graduation... "Rainbow" quotes Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia on The First Joey and Uncle Sam... Upcoming Events... "Sprout" starts a 9 week Gag Class... Meeting Notes... Insurance, I don't need no stinking insurance!!! by "Confetti"... New Member "Squirtlebert"... Reprint of "Ding-A-Ling" & "Socker"s Wedding article... and Hand-writen thank-you from Anne, Mike & AJ ... that wasn't so hard was it?
